WHY IS MY GRANDMOTHER SWINGING A PICKAXE?
This photo has the note 'homemaking course' on it. Was digging a foundation part of 'making' a home? I need to ask my dad if he knows. One thing I do know, my grandma was not overly prone to physical exertion.
She did have great hair, though! Never have I swung a pickaxe, and surely it would not be wearing a bathing suit, or with my bob 'just so'. (She's the one person whose face you can clearly see in this photo.)
