FAMILY ARBORETUM OUTING: THE CREEPERS & FLYERS & SWIMMERS

Last weekend we all went to check out the J.C. Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh. What a fantastic place! Administered by NC State, there are over a dozen different gardens, and we spent a few hours exploring on a wonderfully “room temperature” afternoon. I took roughly a gillion photos, so I’ll have to break it down into more manageable bites.

Though the plants were incredible, we’re noticers, and the little creatures everywhere also were marvelous.

Carter can sit and watch koi swim for longer than you’d expect from such a wiggly boy. Fish calm him. Oh, and those were different spiders up there. We see beautiful spiders in webs all over the place in this area.
